Who we are
Eleanor Mulder has been running her own successful franchise here in Perth, Western Australia, since August 2017 and says it's been the most amazing journey so far! She is honoured to be expanding the business as new Master Franchisee and is looking for like-minded individuals to run and develop their own Pyjama Drama franchise! If you're looking for a new adventure, why not send us a message and we'll let you know how it all works...
Our Australian adventure started as far back as 2013 when Amanda Plumridge first launched her Pyjama Drama franchise in Exeter, UK. She loved running her franchise so much that when she was able to fulfil her dream of moving to Perth in Western Australia, she took Pyjama Drama with her! Amanda set up and managed her successful franchised business in Perth for four years and became our Master Franchisee, going on to sell franchises and train other teachers. Amanda then left Perth and took her family back to the UK, but leaves behind her a legacy of highly talented teachers and hundreds of Pyjama Drama fans who attend classes every week.
Sarah Owen (right), an experienced drama teacher and mum of three, launched the first Pyjama Drama business in 2005 whilst on Maternity Leave and quickly realised the immense benefits that children derive from imaginative play. Her sister, Rachel McKenna (left), has a Master's Degree in Teaching, as well as having two young children of her own and many years' experience of running her own design business. The first franchise was sold in 2009 and Pyjama Drama expanded rapidly in towns, villages and cities throughout the UK. In 2015, Pyjama Drama classes were launched in Australia and Malaysia, and at the beginning of 2016, classes started in California, USA.
